Midnight (left of photo) and Velvet were rescued by their present owner from a pet shop when it was discovered that no one came forward to offer a permanent home for them. Both bunnies are two years old, and these gorgeous Black and Tans were a delight to care for; extremely friendly, gentle and inquisitive; they didn’t mind at all being handled. Both bucks had bonded well and despite being inseparable, Midnight tends to be the dominant buck. If I took my time dishing out the food, a ball with a bell inside would come hurtling toward me when I opened the hutch door. It was the first time we’d had the privilege of caring for this particular breed of rabbit, and it was an absolute joy to tend to their every need.
